krishnaya vasudevaya
devaki-nandanaya ca
nanda-gopa-kumaraya
govindaya namo namah

Let me therefore offer my respectful obeisances unto the Lord, who has become the son of Vasudeva, the pleasure of Devaki, the boy of Nanda and the other cowherd men of Vrindavana, and the enlivener of the cows and the senses.

(Prayers of Queen Kunti)

Srila Gurudev, Srila Bhakti Sundar Govinda Maharaj, was saying this morning that Queen Kunti had appealed to Krishna through affection. The power is in affection, he said. She is addressing Him as the son of Vasudeva, who is her close relative. And finally she is calling upon Him as the Lord of the cows and Vrindaban. In her prayers she is going from the general aspect of Krishna as the son of Vasudeva to His original form as the Primeval Lord Govinda. And through this description she is tying the Supreme Lord with her affection.

Then he added that just as a mother holds her child on her lap and realizes the child has passed stool, and she doesn't throw the child or rejects him, but with affection she cleanses him. Krishna 's mercy is like that, He will tolerate our ‘non-sense' without removing us from His shelter. This is His nature. And that is also the nature of Guru.

mahaprabhoh kirttana-ntrya-gitavaditra-
madyan-manaso rasena
romañca-kampasru-taranga-bhajo
vande guroh sri-caranaravindam

“ I worship the lotus feet of the Divine Master, whose heart is maddened in nectarine love for Sriman Mahaprabhu by the grand congregational chanting of the Holy Name. Dancing, singing, and playing the khol and karatals, etc.; his body thrills with joy, trembles, and waves of tears flow from his eyes .”

Srila Gurudev said that this Sri Sri Gurvvastaka of Srila Visvanatha Chakravarti Thakura can break the walls of the heart. When one listens to the description of the beauty of Mahaprabhu from the lotus mouth of the Guru one can understand that, even if you can not conceive it, there is nothing on the material creation that can ever be compared to it. Then Srila Gurudev was chanting the Sri Sri Premadhama-deva-stotram:

Svarna-koti-darpanabha-deha-varna-gauravam
padma-parijata-gandha-vanditanga-saurabham
koti-kama-murcchitanghri-rupa-rasa-rangaram
prema-dhama-devam eva naumi gaura-sundaram

Koti-kama refers to 10 million cupids, but the beauty of Sriman Mahaprabhu cannot be compared to all these ten million cupids combined. Srila Gurudev then said that this things can be written but its very hard to conceive them, because we only have two eyes but its necessary much more than that to capture a second of the beauty of Mahaprabhu. So much so that when Sarvabhauma Battacharya saw Sriman Mahaprabhu for the first time at the temple of Lord Jaganath in Puri he was worried that the Lord was too beautiful to follow the sacred order of Sannyas.
